To create your first design in Adobe Photoshop, we have to learn a few things.

Step 1: Get to know the Software

Open any image in Adobe Photoshop and get to know the interface. Get to know the tools and functionalities of each tool. Hover your mouse over the various tools and toolbars. Step 2: Layers

Digital Artists are not very different from a real artist who uses real paints, brushes, and various effects. A digital artist must try to understand the various layers of digital design. There are different types of layers that Photoshop offers. Layers are like sheets which can be moved back and forth to give more depth and reality to an image.

Layers can be used to make color correction, add a versatile effect, and for many more reasons.

Step 3: Image Adjustments

There is a world of things to know in each tool of Image adjustments. The key advantage to do any image adjustment to a particular layer is that the other layers stay untouched. The adjustments can also be undone even after the edits are saved. Adjusting the color and tone of the layer is something basic that you would want to try at the first go. Play with different colors, tonality, hues, and much more.

Step 4: Selection Tools

Photoshop offers a wide range of Selection tools. Experiment with various selection tools to know its functionality. Some selection tools like Rectangular Marquee selection are obvious. There are tools that can get more defined selections. Fine-tune the selection by using other tools such as brush tools.

Step 5: Brushes

There is a wide selection of brushes available in Photoshop just as in reality to do a painting or art. Discover these brushes in the Brushes panel. The brushes vary in diameter, patter, texture and much more. Chose the one that best suits your custom design. We can mimic the usage of a real-time brush in the Digital art that we are creating by differentiating the textures, bristles, length, stiffness of the brush. Create various textures and patterns.

These are very very few tools that are needed to create a basic design in Adobe Photoshop. There is a world of tools that make the Digital Art to uplevel in every front. Be it strokes, shapes, textures, erasing, and a lot more. Just like real art, Digital art needs an investment of time and energy to become a professional artist.

Play around with different tools and try out different methods of putting your design together. You can see that your digital design has evolved into a considerable degree. Wish you all the best.
