BOOK REVIEW on Famous Five – Five run away together!
Hello Everyone! I am Sarah Ahmed from grade 4 in Delhi Private School, Sharjah! This is my book review on – Famous Five – Five run away together!
There are many books in this world. But if anyone asks me my favorite book, its bound to be Famous Five – Five run away together!
This book is the third book of the series famous five written by Enid Blyton (one of the most famous authors of children stories). This book is about 4 cousins – George (short for Georgina), Anne, Julian and Dick, not to forget George’s dog Timothy, Timmy or Tim! (They call him any of these names sometimes!) In this story, their cook Joanna is gone as her mom is sick, and George’s mother is also sick. George and her 3 other cousins are left alone with their temporary cook and her family. The family is horrid, their names are – Mrs. Stick, Mr. Stick, Edward Stick and their dog Tinker, called Stinker by the children as he stinks a lot! Mrs. Stick does not even give them supper sometimes! The children could not bear it, so they packed their bags and went to Kirrin Island, Kirrin Island was George’s! It belonged to her mother, but she gave it to George. They escaped there and found a cave to live in. After a few days they found out that the Sticks family was on THEIR island! And then one night, they heard a scream! It was a girls scream! Next morning, they helped the girl escape and took her to the mainland. They went to the police station, and guess what they met George’s dad! They explained the police and George’s dad everything. The next morning Jenny Mary Armstrong’s parents arrived. They thanked the children and asked anything they can do in return. Julian said, ‘Can you let Jenny come and stay with us on Kirrin Island?’ They thought for a while and said, ‘ok but if u let us come and see how everything is. ‘Ok!’, said Julian. The police had caught the Sticks family and taken them to jail.
It was a thrilling adventure! This story is very exciting because it's got lots of adventure in it and mystery.
I hope you liked my review and decide to read this amazing book too! Thank you!
