Book Review:
The book ‘Number the stars’ written by Lois Lowry is a Newbery Medal Winner. It’s a story that’s set during the time of World War 2 and the narrative revolves around the friendship of two girls who were stuck in Nazi occupied Germany.
In this book the author tells us an awe-inspiring story of a girl who wants to save her friend’s life, who is a Jew, from one of the darkest periods of world history, the Holocaust.
This an amazing read for all children. It’s thought provoking and provides some amazing insights on the impacts of war on humanity and friendships. It is bound to change perspectives and influence the thought process in a reader. A beautiful read to understand life during war and it’s untold, unjust misery.
