What is a Swiss Chess Tournament?

In a Swiss tournament, each competitor does not necessarily play all other entrants. Competitors meet one-on-one in each round and are paired using a set of rules designed to ensure that each competitor plays opponents with a similar running score, but not the same opponent more than once.

 

Pre-requisite:
1. Lichess Account - Create your account if you do not have one at https://lichess.org/ 
2. Familiarity with Online Chess
3. Availability for the entire duration starting 8pm IST

• This is an online tournament on Lichess platform and Lichess' Terms and conditions apply. 

• The participant should be less than 15 years of age

• The participant should be present in a Zoom Video call for the entire duration of the competition. 

• The player should always have the video on.

• The player should not seek help from others or chess engines.

• Learner Circle has the right to disqualify any player who is found indulging in malpractice.
